When Badrock's mother is kidnapped by the Covenant of the Sword he turns to Grifter to get her back. Grifter turns him down at first but once he realizes that Badrock's mom is actually a former girlfriend of his he accepts. Together the two manage to rescue her and it is revealed that Grifter once asked Badrock's mother to marry him.
